my favorite series was the Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop. Thankfully i bought the book w/ all three novels combined after the trilogy was written. if i would have discovered those when they were new & had to wait on them i'd have gone nutty! & of course harry potter...and terry pratchett's discworld series is glorious! sooooo funny

The Harry Potter series, I can't wait until the seventh book (but don't really care about the movies). I'm sort of interested in how Eragon will end, but not as much because it's not such a good book. I just can't read something without going crazy to find out how it ends.

I'm partial to Harry Potter, but I also follow the Artemis Fowl books, the Septimus Heap series, and the Wheel Of Time.

They are finished now, but Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy kept me waiting years for the final book. Now I am waiting for the movie.
I don't usually like to read series until they are all written. I read faster than the authors write, and I read so much I forget between books. Curse JK Rowling! After 10 years, I'll have to start over. (Although I suppose it is a blessing, as slower writers tend to write better).

Jim Butcher's Codex Alera:
Furies of Calderon
Academ's Fury
Cursor's Fury
--waiting for Captain's Fury. Pins & needles is about right. Excellent worldbuilding, realistic characters, exciting action, intrigue and suspense, and a very readable style.

Looking forward to book 12 of the Wheel of Time, by Robert Jordan.
Allegedly, this will be the final book. Also, Mr. Jordan has been ill, so the arrival of the final book will hopefully mean his health is better (the news on WoT websites is that he is doing much better).

There somewhat have not been many new releases interior the previous couple of years that I had to have the day they got here out, that's extra a mirrored photograph on my attitude to hint than the artist or the marketplace. Heck, the main modern-day enable down (in my admittedly terrible memory) is many years previous, a minimum of. Queens of the Stone Age- Lullabies to Paralyze ----- See? instructed you my memory replaced into terrible. a extra moderen one replaced into Opeths Watershed. It hasn't lived as much as Ghost Reveries, IMO
