Okay, my last one would have been one of those "most likely" situations. So, try uninstalling the drivers and get the latest drivers. Still, that video card isn't THAT great, it doesn't even support DirectX 9 (which may well be your problem). I can't say for certain but it only supports up to DirectX 7. My original recommendation stands, getting a new graphics card will probably correct this situation. Even a Geforce 6200 would be a step up for you but I don't consider it to be a great card, if you're on a limited budget, it will be the way to go. I still say go with a 6600, 7600 or 7900 series. The MX4000 is just... well, it's a terrible card for any type of gaming.

Try reinstalling the drivers first... if that works great, if not, then you may have to consider a new graphics card. Even if it does work, I'd still get a new graphics card.

Okay Keith, it does matter and when I answered this question, he hadn't posted those details, it's called making assumptions, sometimes you have to do that a lot on here because people, like this person did not at first post the pertinent details of the situation.

I would also like to see you try to get any gaming done with an integrated card and see how far you get (which is what I thought he had but now that I know the situation). Integrated cards DO suck and it DOES matter. Try playing Half Life 2 on an integrated card and see just how far you get... the answer is... not far.

No, he wasn't asking about his memory but in case someone hasn't been paying attention, integrated graphics (which is what I thought he had at first) use RAM as its memory so therefore, if it was a 256MB integrated card then it would have been using 256MB out of 1GB... (which I didn't know when I first answered this). Leaving 768MB of memory. Now Keith, who doesn't know what they are talking about.

Your video card is lacking a feature required by the game. Based on your description of the problem, it is probably too low of a shader version. Sometimes to get cool effects like heat-wave mirages, good lighting, or HDR filters the game renders its screen to a texture and draws several of them on the screen. Since your card lacks one of these shader features, the screen draws white. What Shader Model does your card support? It probably needs version 2.0 or 3.0. This would mean you need a good video card.

Dont listen to what this guy says above me, he has really no idea what hes talking about and should not be answering any questions on here, he is just misleading people telling them this bs. It does not matter if your vid card is int. or an addon card. And he wasn't asking about his memory..

Are you using latest version of directx? I dont know if that vid card will support that game very well, try turning all the graphics settings lower. Try reinstalling the game..
