From what I understand Alyssa Milano and Shannen were great friends at one point, Doherty even was in Milano's wedding. However, for whatever reason they became enemies to the point that they would not even speak except for their lines on the show. Well, Milano seems to have had more juice because she went to the shows directors and gave them an ultimatum in which it was either her or Doherty. Being that Doherty had seemed to have made enemies all around the show's directors conceded. Dohert was not officially fired she gave a statement that she was leaving the show for better opportunities, but the word was she was given the axe.

Holly and Shannen were good friends (i've heard) but Shannen (Prue) didn't get kicked off she quit, supposedly because of fights with Alyssa Milano (Phoebe) and that she thought the show was for 12 year olds (this is what supposedly happend)

She had issues with Phoebe (Alyssa Milano). And Phoebe asked the network to chose between her and Prue. Since Prue was having other problems with the law i believe, the network chose Phoebe (Alyssa) because she is less trouble.

Shannon Doherty has problems on every set she has ever worked on, beginning with Little House on the Prairie. She was spoiled as a child and spoiled as an adult. She's not a very nice person when she doesn't get everything she wants. Thank you.

Shannon has issues no matter where she goes. She thinks everyone needs to cater to her needs and that she owns the world. If it's not her way, it's the highway.
