Boring teachers?

Have you ever had a boring teacher, and in which subject? What do you do during his/her lecture?(sleep?)

What do you think should education centers( schools, colleges) do to prevent from hiring uninteresting lecturers?

I have one now; she's the biology teacher. She has no emotion/ monotone when she speaks.

We all know that people who are passionate about their particular subject can not always transfer that passion to the learner. However, you probably have a text book, and should approach the teacher fi stuff is not being explained by him/her. USE the book often and take it home to study.

Your job as the student is to learn the material, analyze, synthesize and produce the required essays/quizzes/papers.

If the teacher is borderline or worse, alert the administration asking for anonymity. BEG your friends to do the same. You amy make a difference, but then again you may not. Stick it out. Life will throw other curved balls your way and you will have to put up with it. In England we say "Grin and bear it"

Yep, I've encountered boring teachers. But he would just walk around, give a lecture, and ask questions. It was in World History. It's a shame. Some teachers just don't seem as enthusiastic as they should be. I think that teachers just need to rethink. If they are teaching in monotone, they probably aren't enjoying teaching. But some teachers need to know, that sometimes you can't just give lectures and that's it. Good question though!!!

yes, i always run into boring teachers. sometimes i dont even have to hav a teacher in order to know its boring (the news always spreads throughout the school).
during a lecture i always doodle if i am bored...

i think schools should give each teacher a special trainning class to show them how to catch the interest of their students.

The most boring teacher i ever had was in social studies class in jr high. she too spoke in monotone but in a LOUD voice. everyone scored low in her class. all my classmates dreaded the trip to her classroom. i tallied a total of 20/30 kids falling asleep during her class...

What is boring to you may not be boring to someone else. Teachers can't make everyone happy.

advise instructor. they're greater thrilling, and that i admire gazing them yell on the idiots in college. ^.^ With a humdrum instructor the idiots get away with crap and that i virtually doze off now and back.
