go to the cia world fact books. when you think of africa do not always think sub sahara. there is also the top magrib arabian countries like algeria, morococco, tunisia, libya, mauritania, then you have egypt. these countries are not as bad off as the subsaharra countries. starvation is not a big problem there. good luck

go to the government pages for the actual countries and they should have info on tourism. As far as your developed/developing/etc; that's difficult to define. good luck!!!

go to the different countries web pages and all of the info. should be there. do a google search.
