Raw is live. Unlsess it is someone hanging out in back, it happens in front of the audience.
Personally, I believe Trump doesn't do anything on other people's schedule so his bit was pretaped on HIS time when he was willing to do it and McMahon acted it out in the ring.

That part is usually taped before hand. They would never have a camera that handy in all those places for the live show.

I think that is usually taped. I agree with the one person here who said that Trump woulodn't do anything on anyone else's schedule. Plus, it didn't seem that he was reacting to Vince as much as Vince was reacting to him.

it is live that is why there are never any pictures of what happens on the front page of wwe.com before raw

sometimes it's live, sometimes, it is recorded. but most of the time it is live because, like yesterday you could see that donald trump knew what mr. macmahon was saying, and he responded. hope this helps =]
