I think people lack guidance, HOPE, LOVE, they have no peace, no money, no goals, etc; we are at a low in this country as it relates to moral and trust! Not having all or most of these things can make you go crazy!
Now, for those who are born crazy; we have the drug addicted/alcoholic mothers to thank for some of that. But, genetics are always a factor! Because, I have seen families where everybody seemed crazy!
If you meant "crazy" in terms of lust over and after things, then that's an easy one! All forms of media (music, movies) glorify the IDEA of having money & material things. So, people are like animals out here now, trying to get the latest cars, ipods, cell phones, big homes, lavish wardrobes, etc.
People havegone "crazy" after STUFF, because nothing is ever ENOUGH anymore.

Life is too easy-people too greedy-we live in a me me culture.Money is everywhere-simple values and pleasures frowned upon.....poeple want instant gratification,instant fame-the idea of working for it is laughed at-shows like Pop Idol are examples of people who just want to be famous for the sake of being famous.
We probably need a war.....or a couple of pints at the very least!

THE MAIN REASON IS THAT WE ARE NOT CONTENTED WITH WHAT WE HAVE EARNED IF U EARN 100POUNDS A WEEK & SATISFIED ITS MORE WORTH THAN GETTING 1000POUNDS AND UNSATISFIED WITH UR LIFE!
