Theres nothing wrong with having the desire to achieve greatness, but what you need to learn to accept is the fact that no matter what you do achieve, there is never gonna be perfection. It simply doesn't exist. You have to have acceptance of yourself and find happiness with whatever you do accomplish. You may want to help others, and that is great, but you can only do so much and only be able to help just so many people. You cannot be the savior for the whole world. With the things you do accomplish, you have to be able to say to yourself "I did my best, I did a good job and Im happy with it." If you are always saying "I could have done more, I could have done it differently or I could have help more people", you will never find inner happiness in yourself.

1. Define your terms. What does it mean to be great? Does it mean having a lot of influence? A lot of money? Simply the ability to do what most people can't do on a humanitarian level (think liberal Hollywood) Doing some that will get you talked about . . . in a history book, perhaps? What does it mean to help others? Does it mean contributing to some cause? Following best practices that may not be as sexy as what Hollywood is doing at the moment, but are probably 1000x less selfish and 1000000x more effective? Does it mean making the biggest possible difference in the lives of a few people or does it mean making a small difference in the lives of many people?
2. Sort through contradictions. For the best example, look at the RED campaign. This is a program that donates a % of proceeds from designated products to AIDS in Africa. The ironic thing about this program is that the majority of these non-organic, non-recycled products sold are made by underpaid Asian factory workers, sometimes children, and that these factories are blamed for the desertification of China, which in turn has been implicated in dust storms in the US which in turn has been blamed for increased allergy and asthma rates in US children which in turn is blamed for decreased worker productivity, which in turn impacts the GDP, the amount of taxes collected by the fed, and inflation . . . and inflation, my dear, is why folks need help in the first place. Moral of the story: if you're going to help people, make sure you actually HELP people rather than put a toxic band aid on one particularly nasty owie.
3. Ask yourself the right questions. For example, why do you need to be great in order to help people? Mother Teresa was neither powerful, nor wealthy and she was highly effective at helping people. Thousands of peace corp volunteers are dispatched year after year to create schools, hospitals and economic opportunity all over the globe and many of them will never be recognized for it.
4. Think clearly and independently. Once you are able to do this, simple effective actions should suggest themselves.

Hi! Bro
First thing which i want to tell you is that Read Carefully.
See my friend stop thinking about superpower thing. Be what you are because a single mind is no doubt the biggest superpower.
Just relax your mind all the time and be happy always.
And remember -
To be happy you don't have to do those things which you like but you have to like things you do.
Then concentrate the most important thing in your life and think what should be the best way to reach your goal and after that move on to the next important thing and simultaneously all. And take care of your time. First think and instantly do.
Don't hope anything and try to help others for no profit to gain the biggest profit i.e satisfaction.
Enjoy the precious gift given to you by God ( Life ).

I don't believe anyone should rule over another in the form in which I read it, maybe you meant it another way, anyway, the best way you can help others is by going out now and seeing he needs of homeless, those that don't have food, those that need transport to and from Dr. or Store. Picking up Meds, Oh, my there are a million and one things I can think about and the great thing it just requires love and respect for your fellow person. To have a desire to be g reat is good, but one must remember in order to be great you must have a loving heart, superpowerful, only God is superpowerful, You don't need to be a super stair to be a star in someone who needs your help....even now.

Great men (and women) never thought they would do great things in life when they were young. So NEVER start with an ambition to become Great. Perhaps the greatest dictators may have started with this very noble thought!!
Study well, listen to your parents and respect your teachers, and make good friends. Get a good degree and job, and whatever you do, try to be the best. Have some principles (like being punctual, etc) and try to stick to them. Ultimately only you can measure yourself up, despite what others say. No life is "ideal". It can be measured in varying degrees of usefulness towards society. Even the greatest souls like Christ, Buddha etc never felt they did something great during their lifetime. They were and still are, revered afterward.

To be a superman or superhuman, you need to discover something or invent something that's of great service to mankind. But you can have great life otherwise too!
Earn your living but don't keep too busy to not have time for your dear ones. Eat, sleep, exercise moderately.
If it doesn't cost you much, forgive your friends even if they lied about, double-crossed, ridiculed, knifed you at the back! Because, this is precisely what happened to Jesus Christ. 2 out of his 12 intimate friends turned traitor and deserted him openly. Ratio is 1:6!. If this could happen to Jesus Christ, why should you and I expect any better ratio?
You will be amazed to discover all niceties people have, merely by forgiving them.
Punish those who have no consideration for things, whatsoever. Remember, its important to be just before you are kind. But forgive them after that.
Understand that man is a social animal and cant race ahead alone. So you must have good friends, relatives, etc to enrich your life. Be stong, positive, confident, helpful, sporting, humourous, thoughtful and hard working. Understand that all help you offer in your neighbour's good times won't be valued as much as half the help in his bad times.
Work hard for service to mankind. You will be amazed to see how you grow rich, powerful and happy day after day. Besides, you are less likely to make people jealous of you. People can sense what service is honestly done and they would flow in numbers to help you out in your rainy days!
Be ready for any change in life. Some changes are unwelcome. But accept them. God may be thinking of giving you more than what you've asked for!

there is nothing wrong with wanting to be great --- but don't be greedy. don't take everything in this world as if it is all yours. everyone can be great cause we all have that greatness within us.. sounding like a cliche but that's how i really see it. don't be afraid for wanting to be great beacuse that's how the greatest men have all started--- they all have wished.
the right way to live a life is living that life without pushing anyone else down. be happy for other's success for they will be happy for your's.

i could be an exceptionally effective professor at a nicely generic college, coaching anthropology. i could be residing with ease in a small, close-knit city in England the place everyone seems to be attentive to everyone and is extremely friendly, with a husband who loves me and whom i admire, and a pair of youthful-ish babies (the two boys). each and every summer time we'd make a journey to distinctive united states, and stay there for a month as we study correct to the custom and lives of the folk who stay there. My babies might frequently be well mannered lots of the time, with the occasional bout of rudeness which you would be able to anticipate from babies (we don't need them to enhance up strange, you be attentive to?). Ahhhh the existence. i do no longer ask for lots, just to be happy.

Yes anyone can become great. Superman does exist in every little heart and soul in this world. Superman is not born. he is made. You make yourself what you want to be. Just keep your attitude and thoughts aligned all the time (and will be so automatically if you really have it in you). The light shall guide you.
