When organisations employ people, what methods do they use other tan interviews?

Testing- many employers give personality and/or IQ tests

Temp to Perm -- Many employees will try people out on the job and let them work for a short period to see if they are going to work out

Referrals - Many employers will hire based on referrals rather than strictly interviewing -- example: Bob in accounting says his friend, Sue, is great for the new admin assistant opening so we will hire her and give her a try

Not that I can think of, though I suppose in certain careers that are heavily dependent on a certain skill (hairdressing, certain artistic areas) it would be less of an interview and more a showcase of your talents/skills.
