What percentage of americans are christians vs. what percentage of the US House and Senate are christian?

I want to know if our government is a true reflection of the people of the USA. I can't escape the feeling that the moral majority is not a true majority and they have a stranglehold on the politics and policies of this country.

What difference does it make. I do not believe that the house and the Senate reflect the Moral compass for our Country. These are Career politicians, therefore they are trained to tell you what you want to here, in turn lie to you on a daily basis. What difference does it make. If they can lie daily they can lie to themselves their God their family their country. You need to stop blaming one religion for the troubles, there are hypocrites in every sect, as well as scum around every corner.

well the lady told you the numbers, so if you just reverse that then you will have your answer. so 8% but they are marginalized and not allowed to speak. most of that 8% are locked in small closet and fed bread and water in some dark crevese of the congressional building every two 2 four years.

As growing up my dad was a so-called baptist minister, as is so many so-called christians. I've known thousands and can tell you as experianced you can not believe ANYTHING they say. Their arrogant and figure 'their way is the only way'. Whats next with your group, witch hunts? If a man can't be honest and intellegent without a title of christian or any other religious fanaticalism then Jesus ain't gonna change anything except his conning ideas of approach.
