First off transsexuals are not limited to m2f, there is also an F2m population to consider. Secondly tgrls are definitely not just men with b**b jobs. Look through the earliest recorded writings and you'll see transgenderisim and transsexuality predate even the ancient greek writings. In many cultures we have been revered and held special status in society- in current times often vilified. I lived life as a straight male and now although preop live as a lesbian female. According to recent Dutch studies the cause of transsexualisim is due to an imbalance in the hormone wash an embryo undergoes receiving improportionate balances therefore causing differences in the bstc region and hypothalmus of the brain and anatomical sex. Whether or not saying we are a third sex is correct I have some doubts of. I lived and shortly will live in the binary system again. If however I felt there were a true third sex it would be those whom are intersexed, but if I were to say that then why not include three chromosome females, and continue on and on. The bottom line is there is a lot of diversity in nature and why worry about labels? People are people.

Transsexuals usually are content to live within the binary gender system, just on the other side than they are now. The native americans used to revere them and had them as two spirited people, and throughout history transsexuals have been thought to be holy with a spark of the divine in them.

Being a transsexual means you are not happy with your body and feel you are the opposite sex, it has nothing to be with being gay or not. About 30-40% consider themselves lebians, so the label gay guy with boobs doesn't work well at all.

I am mtf transgender and pre-op transsexual. I have always been attracted to women. I have been married for 22 years and am madly in love with my wife. I have never been attracted to men in the least. I feel that I am a lesbian trapped in a man's body.

If a mtf transsexual is attracted to men, she is actually heterosexual.

I do not consider myself anything special. I am a heterosexual woman. I like men. Even before I transitioned, my erotic fantasies would be of me as a woman with a man. I am not a gay man with breasts. Before I transitioned, I never wanted to be with man as a man.
