I know what you mean. Ive played for a while. HERE YOU GO: Andres Segovia and Christopher Parkening..thats all you need to know. Andres is a dead old guy who is the master, and Christopher is a younger guy who is doing it now.

Straight up classical guitarist? Robert Fripp...excellent all around guitarist,exceptional classical guitarist..classical trained Randy Rhoades,I know he's known for his Ozzy work,but it is definately in the "classical" style.Don't believe me?Check out Diary Of A Mad man,the song.The intro will put you into classical heaven!!Tough fingerings,off tempo (for rock)timing,everything classical.Hope this helps!! There are hundreds of them,these are my two!!

David Russell has gorgeous tone, plus he's American and actually looks a lot like my dad.
If you can get your hands on Oscar Ghiglia's old recordings, he is the most ridiculously musical player out there. His recording of the Bach Prelude, Fugue, and Allegro is my favorite recording of all time.
If you're into crazy fast and unashamed shredding, listen to Eliot Fisk.
