I have used many department store brands in the past and yes they are very good but over the past 3 years I have been hooked on Bare Minerals Classic Mascara. The great thing about Bare Minerals is that their products contain no perservatives and are great for your skin. I know that their mascara is very hydrating too and I have seemed to have lost less lashes over the last couple of years. They also have one called the Big Tease Mascara and the Double-Ended Lash Builder and at 15$-26$...you should give them a try.

I think that clinique has some of the best mascaras around. they are non irritant, they have nice colors, and you use less than if you were to purchase anything from a grug store. Also, MAC has great makeup and mascara if you want to opt for a little more drama. But clinique is an over all great day and night mascara

The pink and green mascara bottle from Maybelline. I've seen far too many professional make-up artists whip it out of their make-up bags, so it's gotta do something, right?

It's also the only kind I will wear.

As far as I'm concerned, mascara is mascara. The ones that claim to do all these fancy things are just the same as the other basic ones, which is why I stick to the green and pink one.

If you just want a clean simple look, i've read great reviews on Makeupalley.com about Shu Uemura Mascara Basic.

Almost every review i've seen says that it's the only mascara that doesn't smudge and give off little flakes that fall below your eye and cheeks. Also, it doesn't "undo" your eyelash curl if you use an eyelash curler before the mascara.

It's a little pricey but i think it's definitely worth a try.

Do buy department store brands. Despite what some may say, they're better than drugstore brands. I find the drugstore brands rather irritating for my eyes. I do trial and error a lot with mascara, and have found shu umera's lash fiber extension to be the best. Clinique is next, then Lancome and Chanel. wonderful! and also try estee lauder's XL.

I love the new cover girl lash exact volumizing mascara as well as their lash exect lengthening mascara. Both are not waterproof but stay on pretty well. I like that they are not clumpy and are easy to wash off. I do not recommend any of Clinique's mascaras. Oh Prescriptives makes one called Falsh Lashes and that is good too.

Go to the department store or Sephora and buy Dior Show mascara in black. This mascara is by far the best! It make your lashes look almost fake by making them thick, long and dark. Its kinda pricey at $23 but its worth it!
