No. If they traded Jeter, probably would be cursed.

I like this question. I don't think most of the people that answered understood the question. As far as the answer, it might happen. Unfortunately, the Yankees spending ability can overcome the curse. Do you think the Red Sox would change the position A-Rod plays since the Yankees did not use Babe Ruth for Pitching, even though he was a great pitcher?

Well, since I dont believe in curses,I would say no.But I think it would benefit everyone involved.A-Rod has become a pariah in New York(which is incredible because he still had a solid season last year),the Yankees would be rid of a big negative, and the Red Sox,because I think A-Rod would give them a big year just being out of the New York pressure cooker.

No, the Yankees would lose the curse of A-Rod!

Seriously, there is no denying he is a great player. But the fact is every team gets worse when they get him, and the team he leaves does better!

Probably not.

It seems that the yankees are cursed now (being as they have NOT won a world series since he's joined the team).

So, I think the yankees should keep a-rod.

No, there never was a curse, and in fact the Yankees are cursed because they have A-Rod, his teams never do good

A-Rod is a solid player but is a financial curse on any team that fields him.

Red Sox would probably be more cursed. *Shrug.

aren't they already cursed? had murder's row and couldn't even make it to the world series last year agsint the tigers. eeked out 1 one before being sent the door. Not to mention they haven't made it out of the first round of the playoffs since 2004 and then lost to the very same bo sox.

me personally I don't care for either one. Go A's!

Only if the owner did it to start a broadway play, on the same day as a national disaster (Titanic sunk when Sox sold Ruth)

I like the question as well, because it points out the way people only ever see curses in hindsight, unless they happen to be inscribed in heiroglyphs (but that wasn't the case even for King Tut, despite widespread belief).
