As it is now, the majority of those who 'carry guns' are criminals and those who don't are victims or potential victims.Imagine this,A bank robber bursts into a bank with 50-75 people in it,any, all or none may be' packing '. Or the woman at the ATM late at night "Is she packing or not?" and so on.

I agree. My wife and I are both armed and can legally carry concealed weapons.

The police cannot stop a crime, they are not a security force, they can only investigate it. The ACLU is pro gun control because they are afraid too many criminals will be killed.

The liberal way is to imprison the innocent and let the guilty go free!

Sorry to disagree with all of you, but I'd feel better if you had to go through a criminal and psych background check in order to get a gun. As it is, in some states you can get a gun just by strolling into K-Mart or by opening a bank account. Given how many mentally unstable people there are in the world, I find that really scary. It's not that I don't think anyone should own guns, I just don't think everyone should.

I live in the UK. I don't carry a gun, and I don't know of anyone who has one. Our Police don't have them, except when the special firearms unit is called in.

I might be afraid at the ATM machine at night, but it wouldn't enter my head that someone might have a gun, and no-one would imagine I have one, but I've never been mugged (my handbag was stolen from my car once; very unlikely the thief would've been armed).

I like it this way, and I can't imagine feeling safe in a society where people carry them. Suppose you get into an argument and you've got one of those things? Here, people use their fists!

A very warped logic says that people are polite to each other (respect, do you mean?) only because everyone may be armed. No thanks.

I mostly agree, I think everyone should carry a gun. The only thing that sometimes worries me is the fact that maybe then criminals would just shoot from far away and then rob you. Then we would have a problem, but I still think people should be allowed to carry guns.

I believe you in part. There are continually problems. for people who think of weapons could be banned, e mail me and that i'll deliver you a "NO weapons in this residing house" sticky label to positioned on your mailbox or front door. hence the predators will understand which residing house to invade thoroughly. in case you desire to fairly create a well mannered society, get rid of the guidelines against homicide. After a ordinary shake-up, issues might cool down and the survivors would be actual superb human beings. study Robert A. Heinlein's e book The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. a good number of exciting factors to contemplate in that one. you will finally end up analyzing it extra desirable than as quickly as, I promise.

Consider this. Two men are considering taking a flight hostage. They move in, the plane takes off, and they look around. Now is the time, they stand up and look around and realize that each person on that flight may have a gun. They realize they have no chance of taking that plane. If they try, they will be shot dead on the spot. That is security I believe in.

Sounds like a plausible idea but why is there a need to rob a bank in the first place? Perhaps its because the real criminals are never caught because they are hiding right under our noses, running multi million dollar businesses and sucking everyone dry.

I'm sorry you have such a sad out look on society.

The majority who own guns are not criminals. Criminals are the only ones you hear about in the news. Don't let the news stations build your out look of the world, go out into the world and learn about it for yourself; first hand.

maybe may not.... think of this a lady with her young child is in the same bank and all these people start blaring away with their weapons and the child is killed. Is it still worth it? Is one child's life worth even one bullet? I think a no gun society would be better. stop people...gun shows from selling weapons to the public and eventually this could become a reality.

im not exactly sure what the question is here...but i believe in the right to bear arms, have learned the proper way to handle a firearm and know how to use one. the criminals are obtaining weapons because they can. there are very weak laws protecting citizens who protect themselves. criminals prey on the weak and those they deem to be unprotected (alone..etc).
