Be Careful, it can be very dangerous, and 9ct gold is not worth very much.
First you need a container capable of withstanding the heat necessary to melt gold. Then you need a heat source capable of producing and maintaining the temperatures required to melt the gold.
Then you will need a vessel capable of holding the molten gold and substrates (other metals added to take 24ct gold to 9ct)

If you melt it in any kind of metal pan, the gold is likely to alloy itself with the metal of the pan. You could end up with a pan lined with 1ct or 2ct gold, not worth very much.

You would need a special high-temperature vitreous crucible. Better leave it to the experts.

Bullion dealers will usually pay you for the 9ct gold without asking any awkward questions. They sell it in bulk to merchants who don't ask them questions either.

Tell me where you live and I'll come around and do the job for you. The processing is quite dangerous, so I'll have to take the scrap away for special treatment. I'll return the gold in pure ingots within the week.... Honest....

The copper in the headphone wires is worth more than the gold plating on the TRS plug. There's maybe 60¢ worth of gold on your headphones.
