how often should a married couple have sex in a week?

what would be classed as normal 2, 3, 4 a week once a month what about if its less 3 or 4 times a year? not good is it

I would think that depends on the couple and what is going on in their lives at the moment, I mean if one is sick or there is a lot of stress going on for any reason there is usually less sex where when things are going smooth there's more sex and length of time together usually plays a role too. Not always but usually couples that are fairly new to the relationship have sex more often than couples that have been together for 5 + years and a child or two. Once the kids are grown it picks back up though.

It really depends on the couple but 3 or 4 times a year is not good. You may need to talk or get marriage counseling. What are YOU doing to make things fresh and fun in the marriage? What is your partner doing to make it fresh and fun? If you say nothing, then that is why your sex life is dead.

What's normal for me might not be normal for others. Everyone's sex drive is different not to mention some people don't have much alone time with their spouse and some lay around all day together. There is no normal amount of times couples have sex.
