Well, is it a new home? Getting a one piece into an existing structure can be tricky, if not impossible. If it's not impossible, then it would be a good idea. The less amount of seams you have, the less amount of places for possible leakage. I'm not sure what you mean by pros and cons. What are your options? If a one piece is too difficult, consider a 2 piece. One part being the tub and the second part being the walls. They have many that have a good locking system so that water doesn't get thru the seams. You always have the option of a nice tub and tile your walls. I hope this helps, but a little more info might help me understand exactly what you need.

I in simple terms comprehensive including a replace tub/bathe to a house i'm redesigning. And including a 2d bathing room. Be very careful of the size. Many bathtubs are put in previously they upload the door physique and door to the front of your bathing room. it would desire to be an exceptionally tight extra wholesome to get issues into the room. in the bathing room the place I replaced the tub, i could no longer get the hot tub into the room and then lay it down. i might have sworn i wished yet another 6-8 inches of area. finally employed an skilled plumber - he stood it quickly up and then "flipped it" and have been given it to place down. the bathing room is in simple terms a pair of million/4" wider than the bath. How he did it - I nonetheless have not understood.

Pros are: it is cheap and easy to install, if you can get it in.
Cons are : it is cheap and has very limited decoration and sizing options.
I would guess it is fine for the smaller bathtubs and showers, but if you are building up your hous re-sale value, you may want to consider other options.

The only thing I have problems with is soap scum, and the fact that you can't use abrasives to clean it. I can't figure out whether it's the soap we use or the fiberglass.
