If they have a name that is not too common, try googling the person in the format "Firstname Surname" (use the apostrophes, otherwise the 2 words do not have be together on the page)

There exists no such repository of information for two reasons:

1. A company that provides email services will not (and is probably restricted by law from) provide this information publicly. Even spammers do not know the identity of the person their mails go to.

2. Most net-savvy people have more than one email id (and most have at least six perhaps) so how would one identify them?

Your best bet, if you are looking for someone long-lost, is to:

a. Check up public info sites (such as whowhere.com) and try and trace the person. These sites also provide links to some public domain information sellers (i.e. a website which will give you the mailing address, phone number and credit history of the person you are seeking).

b. Check networking sites like myspace and orkut for the person and contact them there.

Good luck!!

No way to find this out.. forget it!

It would easier if the person has Orkut account. Try searching in Orkut.
