I think there are several reasons: First, I believe we are taught from a young age that there is safety in numbers. We instinctively group together in unfamiliar surroundings for protection. (whether we are aware of it or not.) Secondly, women do like to have the input of other women about every aspect of their lives (from the guy she is currently dating, to what she is wearing, to what she could do differently with her hair or makeup...etc.)

Well this is a easy one, me and my girlfriends always go together so we can talk about how the dates are going. We gossip, laugh and plan the next move.. Then of course if we need to we use the bathroom. Fix our hair and make-up...

1. To use the loo (yes, all of them at the same time, depending on how much they drank...lol)
2. To straighten up their make-up and adjust their dresses and affirm that everything is in place and they still look great.
3. (Maybe this is what you want to know...lol) To talk about the men they are dating that evening, how hot or cold he is...lol
