I'm going to be doing customer service at home, and am going to hook up a BlueTooth USB adapter and try a BlueTooth headset. Will the BlueTooth work just as a regular mircophone and earpeice for normal VoIp and/or phone on the computer systems?

Yes it is possible and very easy. The only thing you have to do is to buy a usb bluetooth dongle and a usb headset. Install the drivers as in the manual please read it carefully. Then set the headset to be searchable. Then press the search button on you bluetooth dongle software (after installed successfully). And it should find your headset.
Then go to the software you use. And in the audio settings, set the microphone and speakers to your bluetooth headset. And all will be working then !
