My baby girl is 5 months old now and I feel like a really big idiot lol! We have been having problems getting her to sleep at night so I was talking with my grandmother and asked her for some suggestions and she said to try Classical because it worked wonders with me. I know that Baby Einstein does classical music but I am wondering who else does children's classical music. So i went out and bought a children's classical cd for her and tried last night and with in minutes she was sleeping. I would really like some suggestions on who else to try for classical music for her please.

I would advise you to stick with the same cd... your baby will learn to recognize that particular music as "bedtime music". There is no need to mix it around with many different cds, babies actually go to sleep more easily with the same bedtime routine every night.

All of the recent research indicates that babies are a lot smarter and perceptive than we think they are. They try to mimic you, do what you do, and pay attention to what you pay attention to. Right from the start. Classical music is, for the most part, made up of regular tonal sounds and rhythms, and should be soothing for your infant. But no loud crashes or cymbals, please. Good things to try would be piano music by Chopin (Waltzes, Nocturnes, Etudes and the like), The Well Tempered Clavier by Bach, Mozart and Haydn symphonies, songs by Schubert. They're so smart that they'll pick up the patterns and be curious at the same time. No need to stick to the same piece over and over. Good luck!
