yeah, proposes would be an obvious sign...
talks about your future together, having children (or not), interested in your family, wants to spend time with you, respects you.
i am sure there are more but those were the first things that came to my mind.

The obvious answer is : He'll propose,,,but sometimes they will start by talking about the future, kids, and joint anything. Whether it be joint bank accounts or joint ownerships...like homes or vehicles...if he really loves you and you have good communication, then he should just talk to you openly...

When the two of you can talk about the future as "when we get married, when we have kids", versus, "if we get married, if we have kids".
