try using double the amount of fabric conditioner in your wash ,put your clothes on a 30degree wash( Cotton)and take it out as soon as the wash is done .put your gi on a hanger in a warm room preferably day before you need it and let it air dry ..when you are ready to use it the gi should be ok but depending on the cotton mix you may need to get out the iron for a quick run over the sleeves and back of the jacket. hope this helps and good luck for gradings.

When u wash the gear if possible take it out of the washer strait away, it wont get as wrinkly that way.
Also use fabric softener in the wash (follow instructions on bottle) to make ironing easier.
Also you could use the drip dry function on your washer this takes out the spin cycle which makes the clothes all wrinkled, and takes out the excess water, or when the wash is finished you could put warm or cold water the sink and rewet the item and not spin it out just hang it up carefully so that less wrinkles form, this is good if you have nice warm weather and time to let it dry without having to spin all the water out of it. Another way to do this is to cheat and wash it and hang it out and leave it out overnight on the line, even better if it rains this can make it even whiter if you live somewhere without pollution and the wrinkles almost always dissappear, make sure you peg it up firmly or it may fall on the ground with the weight of the water and get dirty again.
Use the steam setting on your iron it will get the wrinkles out easier on your white cotton gear make sure you put plenty of water in and test the iron isnt rusty inside water tank on an old tea towel first before you put it on your nice clean suit, this is in case you havent used the steam function much and maybe left water sitting inthere to let it go rusty, if this happens red dirty water could drip out of hte holes on the iron plate and ruin your uniform, hence the tea towel test first, if this happens tip the water out and turn the iron off steam back to dry and allow the iron to sit and heat for a minute before testing on the tea towel again to make sure you wont stain your whites.
Happy ironing.. ps can you tell I hate it too.

- Don't over-dry your gi, by clothes drying machine or otherwise.
- Invest in a good steam iron.
- Hang clothes up as much as possible, and don't leave them lying in dryers which would make creases deeper.
- Hang clothes up when taking a really steamy shower - I do this when on holiday and it gets creases to fall-out.
My friend in the USA uses this fantastic product that she buys in her supermarket there - she sprays it on and creases almost disappear, as if by magic. I wanted to bring some back on my last trip there but there has been a ban from the carrying of most liquids via aircraft travel. (certainly not in large quantities). I've not seen a similar product for sale in the UK - sadly, cos I loathe ironing.

1) don't use a fast rinse in the washing machine.
2) take it out of the tumble dryer before it is fully dry
3) Put it on a hanger, pull it into shape and it should be almost indistinguishable from an ironed gi...

Thats really thick cotton. Try and iron it when its pretty damp, don't let it dry until you've ironed it - then hang each piece on a separate hanger and hang them somewhere the air can circulate to let them dry after ironing. Its important the air can get to them or they will smell of damp or of mildew (not nice)

Hang up your clothes straight from the dryer and you will not have as many wrinkles. If you have wrinkles, mist your clothes with water before ironing and use the steam setting.

The best way to make ironing easier is to have someone else do it for you. I would suggest paying a sister/brother/cousin who likes ironing...
