Do you believe that aliens built the pyramids? What are they for? I think they have a purpose other than bury pharaoh's.

I think that giant cat-heads are buried under the sand and the pyramids are just the ears sticking out.

Dude, the pyramids are no ET rubbish. The pyramids were build by the Hebrews, they were forced to by the Egyptians. The the whole of Exadus, Laviticus and Numbers and maybe some of Dutoronomy were written about how there was some guy who got them out by killing people or something. These pyramids are pretty massive and there is a good thing about the alien construction in Star Gate.

I have no doubt that they were built by humans.

However, I do not believe they were built as tombs. After all the valley of the King and valley of the Queens are full of tombs.

If you are interested I can highly recommend 'secrets of the great pyramids' by Peter Tompkins. He details the historical expeditions that (re)discovered what is inside. Full of fascinating historical facts, pictures, diagrams of the tunnels/passages and so on.

They appear to have been as an astromomical observatory - at least as part of its purpose. Inside the Cheops pyramid there is a very long tunnel which points to the North star. The accuracy with which this tunnel has been built is astonishing even by todays standards.
Of cours it is no accident that the pyramids align North, and that the dimensions of the Cheops pyramid encapsulate the value of Pi in the ratio of height to base length.

I doubt we'll ever know everything about them - but they certainly don't look like tombs to me. (I've visited the pyramids, and the valley of Kings/Queens.)

perhaps you should accept a more rational explanation, like the Pyramids were built as a representation of the stars in a constellation BEFORE jumping to the extraordinary conclusion that Aliens and other paranormal explanations explain the past. Stick to the evidence

Why should you think that?
The ancient Egyptians loved building huge statues, temples and other structures to honour their Gods or earlier to mark their tombs. Later, because of the wealth buried with them, the tombs tended to be hidden away.

The precise alignment of the pyramids has been explained by the fact that they were excellent astronomers. The constellation we call Orion, was an important part of their ritual as it was associated with, I think, Osiris. The wanted precise alignments with Orion on certain days.

It's commonly understood that the pyramids were built by ancient Egyptians. Errr, usually because archaeologists have found (a)lots of Egyptian stuff in them, and (b) the remains of the pharaoes.

Maybe the archaeologists simply missed or ignored the rusting remains of the UFOs?

No, I don't believe that - although Erich von Daniken makes a good case for it in his book Chariots of the Gods.
