If you hang up a leather skirt properly and give it time, the wrinkles likely will lessen on their own. If that doesn't work or you can't wait, you can iron leather but you have to place a cotton towel (a dish towel is good) between the leather and the iron, and don't use high heat. The heat from the iron can damage the leather, but on low heat with something in between to protect the leather, you should be able to get wrinkles or creases out of leather without damaging the leather. This will take longer than ironing most things, so be patient and careful.

Sounds like the leather might need conditioning. Try using some Mink oil, this is an excellent leather conditioner and you can purchase it anywhere shoe polish is sold.
Rub it into the skirt leather with a cloth rag, preferably cotton, let sit for 10 minutes and wipe clean with another clean rag. You can wipe it until you stop getting residue off the leather.
Important: just apply to the outside only, and not the side that makes contact with your skin.
Do not wash your skirt in the washing machine, leather will wrinkle and fall apart if you do. To clean use a damp rag with mild soap.

If you are going to iron it to remove the wrinkles you need to use a sheet of thick brown paper to lay over the skirt. It's the brown paper used for shopping bags, packaging etc. Do not let the iron set on one spot too long and do not use steam. Keep the temperature around medium (below the steam range). Also, if the paper has any markings on it do not put that side down on the skirt.
This will remove the wrinkles correctly.

Why do you have a leather skirt? I hate leather it went out of fashion years ago and I can't see how it's coming back in again.

First of all, I love the skirt!!! People notify me I've nice hip and legs but I still don't wear shorts

I love long skirts. My bf wants the brief ones. So my closet is loaded w/ 1/2 and 1/2.
