I respected Bill Clinton, I disagreed with some of his policies and still do, but I don't ever recall calling him names, or saying that he should be hung!

There's a difference between disagreeing with the President's policies and the outright disloyalty shown by many on the Left. To answer your question directly, I disagreed vehemently with President Clinton. I usually found him to be on the wrong side of most issues, and attacked his policies vociferously and often. That being said, at NO time did I (or any other Republican who I knew or read) attack his patriotism, the fact that he was doing what he honesty felt was best for the country, or his motives. I supported whatever it took to ensure the survival and success of US forces once committed, even if I disagreed with the mission. I am a firm believer in the ancient concept of Loyal Opposition...which unfortunately the Dems have never heard of.
In the highly unlikely event of a Hillary Clinton administration, I would respect the office, even if I disagreed with the occupant thereof.

I will respect the fact that she was put in office by the democratic process and therefore she is the rightful president. It doesn't mean I will start liking her but I will not bad mouth her to citizens of other countries or to the media. I was in the military during Bill's presidency and I did not agree with his handling of most things but when I had to go overseas and someone ask what I thought about him I did not put him down. It is like airing dirty laundry about your family in the local news, it's not a good idea.

Of course-as long as the Dignity of the Office is upheld. I lothe the woman even more than I lothe her husband. But I do respect the office. (I may disagree with policy--and that is okay--but it better be done with the best interest of our country at heart--and done so honorably.) The BIG difference here is UNTIL THERE IS TANGIBLE PROOF of wrong doing and intent to do wrong
--NO ONE should be calling anyone a LIAR! You can say that you DON'T AGREE WITH THE POLICIES OF THE ADMINISTRATION, but unless you're an expert in constitutional and international law--I don't think the media or hollywood libs or public is qualified to call Bush a liar or war criminal. So please STOP!

No, they won't show her a great deal of respect because of her office. Respect for office should come from other Washington figures, and Military figures, and the Press.
You, I, comedians, and just about everyone else on here should be able to show respect or a lack of for any elected official. The war shouldn't matter.

Wrong! Your are supposed to question your government. It's the right thing to do. If we didn't, how would we know when things have gone "too far". Countries that don't or aren't allowed to question their government are called "fascist."
This country was founded by people who questioned their government. If they didn't, America would not exist as it is today. I think that the Founders would want us to ALWAYS question our leadership, no matter who's in power, or whether or not we're in a war.
Always respect the office; but remember, the holder of that office is just a human, and humans can fail.

A very good question- but to be fair- when we lost that last election- no one wanted recounts seriously thinking they were cheated. We love to hate our leaders- but all Cons need to support whoever is president even that woman.

To give a President respect just because we are at war is dumb. What if it's an unjust war ? A war that could have dire consequences ? Would a President keep our nation in a constant state of war so as to always get respect ? See how dumb it is ?
