I found a love letter written by my wife to her classmate who she met when he came to India to take back his wife and kids to US.She had been in email contact with him for the last one year. She even took him to a remote resort. The letter is full of love and she asks him not to forget her and that she is ready to play second fiddle to his wife. When I asked her she said she never had any idea of deserting the family for him and that she only wrote it in a fit of fantacy/ dream. The letter was written at 4AM and we have been sleeping together all the while. She is sorry for having caused me so much pain and she is planning to leave for US soon, and she says we can join her soon. The contents of the letter talk about why and how she felt good when he called her in past and the love, affection and security she found in his friendship which she never experienced and also 'with love love &love Name who needs you a lot'. Is this simply a temporary fantacy, a dream or a wakeup call for me?

She had been nice to me all along and I would not have even suspected her but for the letter. She says it was her mistake not to have torn it down. I was introduced to him when he came visiting our home with his wife and kids. We had a chitchat and I left for my work. But I never knew they had been in email contact and that they met in resort. She called him twice and thrice on phone. She still says she sent him only 5/6 mails and that she does not remember his id. How can she, a mother of two great kids, fall in love on such a brief contact? I find it hard to digest. Neither is he goodlooking nor would harm his family for her sake; he actually a family guy.

I know this isn't the answer that you are looking for but that's a wake up call for you. Even a fantasy can turn into reality. Cheating is cheating, even through a letter but it's just not physical yet, it's more mental. I would go through marriage counceling to try and resolve things but if that doesn't work then yes I would say move on. Once she is in the U.S, things may heat up more.

If you dont do anything about it then you are being a wimp and she'll do it again, and agin ...

Hello, wake up. This is all you know about, I bet she is hiding more, she is only sorry she got caught. The end of anything is usually hard but I believe you will always wonder "is she being faithful", not a good way to live your life. Listen to your inner voice.

Have you confronted her? Taking this issue to the level of open communication, could very well resolved many of your questions.

Probably not. Sorry, you may want to talk to this other guy's wife just so she knows what's going on.

She wants you and a little something something with him too. Tell her to make a firm commitment to your relationship or you are through with her. She is a CHEATER!
