practice... read some books to get an idea of the vision you need but ball control to become comfortable with the ball is best done by just practicing with a small ball.

The best answer is you have to try stuff yourself or just accept that you'll need vision correction. The reason I say this is if you want the easy answer doctors will tell you it simply. YOU CAN'T IMPROVE YOUR VISION! However, I have heard of a lot of people who have improved their vision especially with low nearsightedness. The problem is I can't give you any guarantee in what will work or won't work. A lot of the natural vision improvement stuff is based on rejected scientific theories. Your best attempt is to probably do a combination of eye exercise/relaxation exercises with the use of + lenses for near work. But remember eye exercises don't relax the muscles to make you see better, so there has to be some other reason if they actually work. I have tried stuff with an open mind and it seems kind of ineffective. A person i knew from college says that eye exercises had worked for him a little bit. Theres just no satisfactory explanation why it would work and is therefore rejected as psuedo science. There are some less heretical theories going around that say people with only a little bit of nearsightedness can reverse psuedo myopia if they use + lens treatment if the cause was from too much nearwork. If you want to listen to the eye doctors who say there is no way to prevent or reverse myopia then fine listen to them. I think you can somewhat prevent myopia or reverse psuedo myopia but in our culture of computers, tvs and homework its almost impossible to stop the negative affects these bring when your genetics tend toward nearsightedness.

The only way that you will get comfortable with the ball is by hard work. You need to practice as much as possible and get used to having it at your feet. This may be hard if your coach is asking you to make the pass all the time. That is what I have noticed in young players in the US. As children they were not allowed to make mistakes and become confident. Now that they are older they look to pass before challenging a defender. I encourage my players to take the ball with them everywhere in the house. They go to the bathroomm they take the ball and sweep/roll/dribble it to the bathroom while making turns around corners and such. This will make you get used to using all aspects of the foot and force you to develop a light touch. Now take the practice outside and do as many speed changes and direction changes as possible. Work in tight spaces. Place 5 objects/cone on the ground about a yard away from each other and dribble in figure eights. As you get better make the distance between cones smaller. Like the figure below.

*-----------*

-----*

*-----------*

(ignore the hash marks and focus on the asterics/cones. That's the only way I could make it look right)

Also get used to looking up at the field and not at the ball. With more practice this will come and your vision will get better.

As for vision, not only you need to have the vision but your teammates have to make runs and do some talking on the field. It does no good if you are looking up and have all the vision in the world if your teammate is not making a run or communicating with you. This will take some time and practice together as well. Good luck.

You need to be able to dribble the ball without looking down at your feet. When you get a good enough feel for the ball, you'll be amazed at how well your vision will be because you'll be scanning the field and not worrying about losing the ball. Hope this helped.

Practise, Practise & more Practise........ that's how the pro's do it.
Also watch games old & new on the TV (or YouTube) + try copy what you see, and listen to what the commentators + pundits have to say to get a few pointers on the right & wrong ways to do things.......... one of the most memorable tips I recall from years ago when I could still be bother to watch it is - when you've got the ball, and you've got the opposition bearing down on you "If in doubt, launch it anywhere".

I was going to give you a few YouTube clips to get you started, but the search function on there is currently out of action.
