I'm tired of see-ing this race and gender crap for election of the president. Race and/or gender do not matter. If this country has any sense left, they will elect neither Obama, nor Hillary, as I don't think either have the qualifications, demeanor integrity to run our nation.
Before you start calling me a racist chauvinistic bigot, let me say that I would 100% support a presidential bid by Dr. Rice: Not only Black, but a Black WOMAN. The difference here, is she is the sort of PERSON we need in the Oval Office. Capable and qualified.
God Bless America.

Despite the fact that Oprah Winfrey said that she would back him, Obama doesn't stand a chance. Put aside the fact that he is only a second year junior senator. Put aside the fact that he does not have the experience to sit in the White House and run this country. Put aside the fact that he is black. I do not like the fact that he is a muslim sympathiser and that alone could ruin his chances of ever getting that high up in the gov't. I'm a republican, and I can tell you this much - Hillary Clinton will win the Democratic endorsement for president. The republicans will be hard pressed to find a candidate to run against her. She has the popularity, the experience, the political clout and the money to win. As badly as I hate to admit it, she could very well be the next president of this country.

What do mean by "using the race card"?
I do think that there are some ignorant rednecks that would not vote for someone that didn't meet very their rigid requirements for race, religion, gender, etc. and unfortunately when those people vote we end up with cowboy George and his shoot 'em up gang in the White House.
Which brings me to my suggestion that we set an IQ requirement to vote. I'm tired of idiots electing our presidents.

Race card wont blow his chance. His chance will be blown by the left wing of the democratic party. If Obama leans left and doesn't moderate to the center. Then Obama and any other democrat that doesn't center his or her positions ,will be dead in the water.

Being elected to the highest office in America isn't about race. Its about who controls the votes. Do you think the current leader got there because of his color? Wrong. It didn't hurt that he was from a family with lots of political power. It also helped him to have ties with wealthy people. And he learned how to be a good yes man. Obama has none of these benefits.

Nope he won't blow it himself. Hillary and the well-oiled Clinton political machine will squash him flat. The Muslim school issue tht she made public was just the first blow...stay tuned.
PS--I find the racial slurs on this thread offensive and uncalled-for. Sorry your question was hijacked by a couple of ignorant answerers.

Maybe a hundred yrs ago a charismatic inexperienced person could run for the presedency and be elected. However, today more than ever, we need someone with a great deal more knowledge & experience. Give him another 8 yrs & he might be ready by then. Right now, Hillary Clinton has what it takes.

You know, the race card is all the Obama is running on. His campaign is 'Look at me, I'm a cool black dude in politics'. Obama may very well be talented, but he needs to stay in politics longer to make a mark on people to prove he's up for the job. If he tries to campaign on his race alone, he'll lose and he may never get the presidency.

Someone like Jessa Jackson will force Obama to play it, lest Jackson endorese someone else...like Sharpton who is a likely candidate. And then yes, he'll be out of the running.

The way Hillary is back-stabbing him, he will bleed out soon, but he's not experienced enough for the job anyway. What's that leave, John Edwards? Now the nation is really in trouble.
