I have a '97 subaru legacy that is AWD but only one wheel turns. When I REMOVE the FWD fuse, one front wheel and one back wheel turn.

I pull my AWD subaru on a grassy hill and start spinning and only one front wheel starts spinning. I take the FWD fuse out and two wheels spin(one front and one back, oppissite side). Is this normal?

Do you have the owner's manual? It tells the function of the FWD fuse in there.
The FWD (front wheel drive) fuse is in there to make the car able to be towed. Remove the fuse, and the car is working fine. An all wheel drive car is actually 2 wheel drive, because the differentials are going to let two tires get all the torque. (I think it's two opposite corners that will spin.)
Similarly, a normal (e.g. no limited-slip diff) two wheel drive car is really only being driven by one tire. Try doing a spinout on snow or ice with a 2wd car, and you'll see what I mean. Only if you have a 4wd vehicle with lockers will you have all 4 tires turn if you pick up the vehicle on a lift and run it, (I'm assuming this is what you did with your Subaru) or if you spin the tires on mud, ice, etc.
So, take out the fuse, and you're good to go. (Instead of paying a shop's $500 "transmission overhaul" charge to take out the fuse when you aren't looking.)
After your update: yes, that's normal. The two wheels that don't spin are pulling slightly, but the differential will naturally give the most torque to the tires with the least traction (on opposite corners). Just take out the fuse- I'm not sure if it's ok to run for extended times with the fuse in.

My suggestion would be to take the rear wheel that turns, off the car. Put it up front beside the front wheel that turns. Now you have front wheel drive!

How do you know only one wheel turns remember you have a limited slip diff. The wheel with least risistance is the one that turns.

first take it to a trans shop locate one at ATRA.COM have them look at it and probable supply you receipt of whats incorrect with it then pass back to the broking if no success ask to talk with the sphere rep of their section could set up an appt for him/her then pass from there
