If my 2 dogs don't start to trust children under age 5 than my wife will have an Abortion?

My 2 Dogo Argentina's and are rescue dogs that were badly abused by children I even sold my house so they could live in the country with no children....We are going to a special dog training/evaluation class to see if they can soften up towards kids and they may not pass on the first day .is their a way to get my dogs to trust kids and understand that not all kids are monsters that will hurt them in less than a week if this class does not work
My wife and I agree that we will not have children until my dogs pass from old age .....But my wife told me she purposely stop taking her pill as a result she is pregnant and if my dogs can not overcome their trauma then we finally agreed abortion is the only answer.If the situation was reversed,The kid was scare of dogs would you adopt the dogs?No.
My Dogs are more innocent than any human who deserve to have a good life after being badly abuse ...It is only fair

From the sound of things, I agree.
You shouldn't have children - since you are not prepare to sacrifice your need for pets, n it's very obvious you're not emotionally ready to place your child in the top priority - which is what all children deserve.
If you love your dog more than your own un-born child, than having an abortion would definitely be the right thing to do. Your child deserve better then being seen as equal to dogs.
But everyone is different - so if your pets satisfy your nurturing instincts, then it's cool. But yeah, just don't bring an innocent human being into your life since you're not a 100% committed in give your all your love n attention.

I am not sure why you had to mention your wife's abortion and how she stopped taking the pill (it sounds like you didn't know either) since your question is really a simple one - How do you get your dogs to trust children?

That being said a traumatized dog, especially an abused one, is not change it's old feelings overnight so keep working on getting it trained and also look around the internet for different types of training techniques one of them or a combination is going to work over time.

Listen guy you need to stop the madness. You gonna possibly ruin a relationship and or have your woman get an abortion for some damn dogs? I love animals as well but at some point you gotta start making some rational decisions. If the kids were scared of dogs would I adopt dogs. No! Since you put your dogs above your child, instead of an abortion, put your child up for adoption. You can look into finding parents that will love your child more than you obviously do before the child is born. This way, they can take their baby strait from the hospital nursery and their child will never have to enter your home so not to disturb your precious dogs. Be sure to get a vasectomy and your wife has her tubes tied as extra precaution. So in the future you don't have any more unwanted children. People like you do not deserve to have loving children.

The baby, being already concieved, should come first. If the kid was scared of a dog, I am sure that the child would not brutally attack the dog. There is no comparison here.

If your wife was not pregnant, I would say wait on kids, but the situation changes since the baby is on it's way.

In your situation, I would try the classes and if they didn't work then I would have to either get rid of the dogs or put them down. Just because you don't have kids doesn't mean your dogs aren't a law suit waiting to happen.

How old are y'all? You sound ignorant enough to be about eight. You would murder your child over a dog? How stupid is that? Let me tell you a story. My daughter was 11 years old, and stayed the weekend with a friend on a mini farm. When her and her friend went to feed the animals, my daughter was feeding the horses when an Argentine Dogo attacked her and put holes in her leg that looked like bullet holes from a .357 Magnum. I guess you would have shot the child, but the dog was shot and killed. Enjoy your dogs. Your child that you murder might have been the one to cure cancer in the future. Could your precious dogs do that? Oh well, they deserve to live much more than your child does.

What is your question? You want to know what people think? You are the one who has to be confident with your decision. It sounds like you are doing your best to make all efforts to care for the dog before the child arrives.
If you want to know what others think, then here is my opinion as an outsider: Why does it have to mean you abort the child? You can have a happy life for your dogs maintaining them away from the children, if you are very careful, which it sounds like you are very responsible to begin with. If you live in the country, surely you can make a large space for them outdoors to play in away from the children, and you could make the same provision for them indoors.

Humans better than dogs; An unborn child should not suffer because of your inability to deal with these dogs. If these dogs are dangerous to children in general then keep them locked up somewhere, otherwise you may find yourselves in prison when they attack someone's child. Anyone who would place the life of a dog over that of a child needs to seek some professional help. I have nothing against dogs, but they can't be allowed to attack humans no matter how they were treated. Those who allowed children to abuse the dogs are criminals in my mind, but other children should not have to pay the price.

Maybe if you raise the baby with the dogs they will get use to the baby and see that not all kids are cruel. Why did your wife stop taking birth control if you guys had agreed not to have kids untill the dogs passed away?
