Go for it. Reading horoscopes can be a fun thing, they can be interesting too as a means of classifying certain kinds of people. But... why do you think the date you were born affects your character? how can stars which are millions of lightyears away affect who you are? If 2 people are born (from different mothers) at the same place at the same time (in the same hospital for instance), do you really think their characters are the same?

I'm living proof of that.
You do have a future .... and it's really between you and your friend. Don't throw away something special because of some butt-head told you that you have no future ..... no one knows the future.
