Is Masturbation Normal?
While it once was regarded as a perversion and a sign of a mental problem, masturbation now is regarded as a normal, healthy sexual activity that is pleasant, fulfilling, acceptable and safe. It is a good way to experience sexual pleasure and can be done throughout life.
Masturbation is only considered a problem when it inhibits sexual activity with a partner, is done in public, or causes significant distress to the person. It may cause distress if it is done compulsively and/or interferes with daily life and activities.
Is Masturbation Harmful?
In general, the medical community considers masturbation to be a natural and harmless expression of sexuality for both men and women. It does not cause any physical injury or harm to the body, and can be performed in moderation throughout a person's lifetime as a part of normal sexual behavior. Some cultures and religions oppose the use of masturbation or even label it as sinful. This can lead to guilt or shame about the behavior.
Some experts suggest that masturbation can actually improve sexual health and relationships. By exploring your own body through masturbation, you can determine what is erotically pleasing to you and can share this with your partner. Some partners use mutual masturbation to discover techniques for a more satisfying sexual relationship and to add to their mutual intimacy.

Masturbation was once thought to decrease your performance by triggering the expectation of a quick release. It also can be more physically stimulating than intercourse. A counter argument is that it can help to provide quick release, thereby allowing you to take your time when with someone a few hours or so later.

It depends on the person, however. The only rule is that it not be your entire sex life.

I love wanking! It has never affected my performance and I also use it as part of my performing.

There are people with extremely high sex drives and some libido's so low you may only want sex a couple of times a year!!!

So keep on enjoying your own sex drive, you'll soon find out your pattern and whether you're doing it too much.

But what's too much for one may be not enough for another.

Doing it to the point where you're dry cumming is bad, yes.

I doubt that it would effect your performance in bed, it depends entirely on your own labido though. If you're up for it ten minutes after then I'd say it won't effect performance.

If you believe you are in possible danger of overdosing on masturbation then the issue is not about your sexual performance in bed,out of bed or anywhere else.
The issue would be about why you are acting out, acting away from your feelings,or sense of reality.

Masturbation isn't a bad thing and has its benefits.

#1 it's good for the prostate health (but as u get older)

#2 it helps you last longer since you've basically "discharged" once. Women will outlast u in bed by default.

Keep at it.

No. Only only weird religious cults believe that nowadays-and that's only because they want to control you. However, as with one of the previous answers, I wholeheartedly agree that 'winking' is bad for you. Just don't do that!
