need some help with dyeing jeans for my job?

I was told at work that I would have to have my jeans dyed a darker blue then what they are and that there was no places around that would sell jeans this dark blue that I need to have them (almost black). Does anyone know how I would beable to dye my jeans a darker blue...what products I would need to use on them- in the washer or a hot pot- something that wouldnt ruin or stain my washing machine. Any ideas??? thanks for your time- I gotta do the dyeing today :)

You can buy safe machine dyes in any sewing/dress makers shop...Like Singers or Hickeys, anywhere that sells materials, thread,wool,sewing equipment,etc. You may need to get 2 packets as denim is a heavy material...Most machine dyes need to be used with a tub of salt aswell,ordinary table salt will do. Wash the jeans in the dye and salt together on a high temp programme (90 degrees). You will need to wash them again after this programme ON THEIR OWN to make is colour fast.
All instructions will be on the packet anyway. Dyes are affordable...about 10 euro per packet (don't know what that is in other currencies). Hope this helps!

Buy a package of dye like RIt and dye them in your washer, it is easier and not as messy and will not stain the washer. This way you can do 3 or 4 pair at a time and they will all be the same colour.

Fabric dye is available at many grocery stores, WalMart type places etc. The brand you'll probably find is Rit. It's pretty easy to use, just follow instructions. Be sure to use clothing that has not been worn as any grease stain will take the dye differently.

I guess you could use RIT dye, but it might not look so great. Why don't you try shopping online, for the future work days, then you can have some nice ones.

Buy rit dye in navy blue. I dyed my son's pants and they came out beauiful.
