If you know how to blend the colors properly, specially eyeshadow, you won't look like you wear to much make up. If you wear dark color eyeshadows, make sure that you wear a light color lipstick or just a lipgloss. But if you want to put the attention on your lips by wearing darker lipstick, make sure that you choose a more natural eye colors. Also, be careful w/ the colors that you choose, for example if you wear a purple eyeshadow, wear a a pinkish lipcolor or anything from the "berry family color". If you decide to go for an olive eyeshadow (or khaki/green), make sure that you wear lipstick w/ orange tones, and a peach color blush. (NEVER SKIP THE MASCARA)

I think that it completely depends on how you put everything on, and why. I personally wear quite a bit of eye makeup, and almost nothing else, because I think of makeup as yet another way to express my artistic inclinations throughout the day. Take a good look at yourself in the mirror. If you have to question whether you're wearing too much, the odds are, you probably are. Makeup is all about personal choices, so if you aren't completely comfortable with yours, you should change it. Try different things, but getting a professional consultation is a great way to go. Although it's expensive, you can think of it as an investment. Try to do it on a day that you have something else planned, so that you get a chance to show off your flawless makeup to all of your friends.

It doesn't matter the number of products you use, but how heavily you apply them. Unless, of course, you are still too young, and your parents don't want you wearing makeup.
Look at yourself in the mirror after you've put on your makeup. See which of these applies to you. If it's the first question on any of the munbers, then you may want to rethink your makeup regime, or at least use a lighter touch when applying it.
1. When you put on your face makeup, do you see a definate line from too heavy or too dark makeup? Or is it all blended nicely for a natural finish?
2. When you put on your eye makeup, do you see clumpimg mascara, or shadow that looks heavy at the creases? Or does it look smooth and even?
3. Is the line of your eyeliner thicker than the lead in a pencil? Or is it a barely there line?
4. When you put on your blush, do you have two "spots" on your cheeks? Or is it blended for a subtle highlight on your cheeks?
5. Do your lips look like they've been painted on? Or is it just a hint of color?
6. Is there a line around your lips from too much lip liner? Or do your lips look all one color?
In the end, you just have to use your best judgement. Listen to the opinions of people close to you, see what they think.

Frankly, You're not wearing that much makeup at all. Right now, I'm in school, and I'm wearing eleven different colours of shadow, two colours of glitter dust, liquid eyeliner, mascara, both black and brown for the tips of my eyelashes, bronzer, blush, sheen, whipped foundation, concealer, lip liner, lip balm, lip shimmer, tinter and some red dust (you mightn't know about that one) and facial moisturiser.
The thing about this is that you'll have to look really hard to see any of it.
why, because the colours are all natural. I look like I have a glow. I don't need to wear a thing on my face, but only because I love makeup. If you have any doubts at all about what to wear, then go ibare and work your way up from there. don't let ANYBODY dictate to you what they want you to wear, It's YOUR FACE.
Just be confident and choose colours that make you feel natural, and look natural too.
P.S>> notice I said WHIPPED foundation... it's light, not heavy on your face.
use ALMAY or MAC mascara, they don't run, and they don't get in your eyes at all. They don't clump, either. try REVLON mascara in plum or brown at the tips, they are subtle colours that don't scream, but let people see the difference in you. Try MAC glitter dust, tke a blender, and gently sweep over your eyes and it hints just so gently.
for liquid eyeliner, try MAYBELINE or RIMMEL. They are by far superior.

I don't think it's too much. It all depends on what colors do you use and do you look natural. The most important thing is to choose a perfect colors for you. You should have a lighter color for a daytime make-up and darker for a night. I think the solution is to choose what you want to point - your eyes or lips. If eyes - use darker eye shadows, eyeliner and mascara; put only natural lip gloss an your lips. If lips - use natural eye shadow and put dark lipstick.

If you feel like you are wearing too much then you are. If you feel comfortable and like the way you look with what you put on, then you are not wearing too much.
Different people hold different guidelines for these things. Personally I refuse to live by someone else's standards. Use your own judgement. Unless you feel that your own judgement is in some way impaired that is...
I was told by one person that I wore too much eye make up. ( 2 shades of eyeshadow, mascara and brown wet shadow as liner) I told them "thanks for sharing". I was told the same exact day by someone else "Wow! your make up always looks so perfect! How do you do that?" (I blend things in a way to make it artsy). So there you go. Different standards. You only have to live up to your own. If try pleasing everyone, you'll make yourself crazy babe.

Wearing make-up each day, may be a great confidence boost. My suggestion is, if you wish to carry on this regime, to make sure you will look after the skin underneath as you grow older.
Buy products with moisturisers and spf contained in them. Also cleanse your skin and moisturise your skin daily.
I would also buy a really good eye and make-up remover.
When you dont need to wear make-up, give it a detox with a face steam and facial mask, to avoid getting milia spots and any acne.

i wonder it before, and i found a good answer from a man.
as long as the guy doesn't really notice, it's enhancing, as soon as he does notice it, it's overdone.
for young age of women, a invisible eye liner and mascara and lip gross is good enough. if you put too much on yoru face adn try to be perfect, it jsut amkes u look old. the less is more.

I think it looks fine. I used to wear that much makeup when I was young. Now that I'm older, too much makeup makes be look like a bad transvestite.
