You may be suffering from depression. Go to a good doctor ASAP.

Please get some help. Next time you think of suicide, please go to the nearest hospital...they should have a psychiatrist on call to speak to you. In meantime, please see your family doctor and tell him/her how you feel and you'll probably be diagnosed with depression and be given some medication to take.
Been there and done that. I struggled for over 10 years feeling the same before being diagnosed as Bi-Polar. In meantime I did get medications for depression which helped ease it a bit but even once diagnosed properly, it took 2 years to get the right combination of medications to get me through most days.
I still have days I am down and crying for no reason I can think of. I often wonder what I was put here for. But those thoughts pass.
Please try doing something very worthwhile like volunteering....perhaps in a hospital...what better place to see how lucky you are to have your health and your life. Seeing others struggling to live helps put your plight in perspective.
If you are a religious person, please talk to your Priest, Pastor, Rabbi etc., and they too will help.
You must realize you are a special person, put on this earth for a specific reason. It may be a little time yet before you know what that reason is. If you are able, maybe once you have this depression under control, you'll go back to school and study so you are able to help others in the same position.
Above all don't give up....tomorrow always brings a better day.

Maggie, first of all there is no such thing as a life with no purpose, so get that thought out of your mind. You were put here for a reason, it is not just random that you were born...you don't know what life has in store for you or what you have in store for life.
Suicide is not an option. You can't mess with the master plan and if there is even one person in this world who cares about you, and I am sure there are many, you take them with you when you off yourself.
life is full of ups and downs, it isn't perfect, I too have felt the way you do but I am sooooooo glad I stuck around, some good things have happened to me and I have done some good for others....hang in there,,,,try to talk to someone and don't give up, it always gets better...chin up...good luck.

Everyone has a purpose. It is our job to find what that is. There are signs everywhere but some of us miss them. Something brough you here, made u ask the question, and moved me to answer it. Learn from that. It may be a sign in itself. Suicide is a cowards way out because the only person a suicide hurts are the people that are in your life. God hates a coward. Actually, no one likes a coward. So find what it is you love to do, that one thing you enjoy the most, that you do every single day, follow that dream and become the person you want to be. Only you can change your life. No one on Yahoo is going to do it for you. But there are signs....

Your life does have a meaning and purpose. You may feel as though it doesn't right now for whatever reason but it does.
I have never experience or have thoughts of suicide. I feel as though if you are having thoughts about it and asking for help you need to talk to your doctor or someone who is close to you and maybe you can get the help you need and find out what is causing these thoughts. I wish you the best.

its not that bad. all things come to pass. i don't think many people feel like they have a meaning or purpose. i feel that way a lot. all i can do is live for the moment until i figure out what it is i'm supposed to be doing. believe it or not, i'm sure everyone struggles with the justification for suicide at some point in time. don't let people deny the fact. the truth is, we got one chance at this life, for me, facing tomorrow and a brand new day is enough to keep me dragging through the mud, that and the weekend. chin up!

If you can't find meaning and purpose in your life, then what stops you from creating it?

People usually find meaning and purpose for themselves in various relationships with others, including family relationships, love relationships, and in friendships.

Make friends with someone. Create a close relationship. And you will have some meaning in your life. Create many close relationships with other people, and you will have lots of meaning.

To get some meaning in your life, you don't even need to make friends with other people. If you get a dog that loves you a lot, then even that relationship with a pet will give you some meaning and purpose.

It's not that difficult to create meaning and purpose. All you need is some imagination and the will to do it.

There is meaning and purpose for everyone. You just have to do some soul searching and find it. I saw your other post stating these answers are not helpful, and that you work in health care. Have you ever thought of working with others who feel the way you do. If you can get yourself through this, and you can regardless of how much you think you can't. (That is just whiny BS). You can then reach out to others and help them through it. Anyone who is in your position can get through it. I have seen it many times. And my life has been awful. I have been through some really terrible times over and over again. BUT, I CHOOSE TO BE TOUGH. It is a choice. And if you choose not to be tough and get through it, which is what your other post sounded like, then you are just doing this for the attention. You want people to feel sorry for you.

try to do things u always wanted to do. find the meaning why you're here, that u have a purpose to accomplish. that your problems may seem like their stronger then you but they aren't cause u can bit them. life is hard but ending it won't resolve a thing. ur just quitting. be strong. life can be beutiful too. get your self-esteem back and smile, wear colors that make you happy. good luck, it's not easy but it can happen if you really try

Find a purpose, the world is a huge place , travel, find your place in this world. If a child was depressed because they couldn,t play football you,d tell them to try a different sport and there are hundreds of different sports.
