Stops after last autoexeoc instruction completed - (Set tvdumpflags=10) leaving dos codes showing. Soft boot does not generally help it through. Holding start button down then starting via a disk scan occasionally gets it through. Any help would be great.

Edit the autoexec.bat file and delete the instruction that is causing the problem. Keep a copy of the original autoexec.bat file so you can put it back as it was before and nothing is lost but nothing gained. If you have trouble starting after editing the autoexec.bat file, then reboot but hold down the F8 and F11 keys together just after the BIOS boot screen has finished but before Windows starts to load, you will get a rapid beeping noise, but continue to hold down these keys for a minute. This action bypasses the boot sector on your disc and starts Windows after any autoexec.bat file instructions.
