Metrosexual is a trait of an urban man of any sexual orientation (usually heterosexual) who has a strong aesthetic sense and spends a great amount of time and money on his appearance and lifestyle. Metrosexuals often can be seen sporting the latest in men's fashion. (An example would be P. Diddy)

metrosexual? = (nutshell version) any man who tries too hard and/or pays way too much to look good...
When women blew through money to improve their appearance it was culturally okay...
When men began paying for high dollar;
liposuction [vacuuming accumulated fat away], dental bleaching, hair treatments, clothes, cars you name it, that made them the derrogatory term "metrosexuals".

Straight boys who act gay, do the laundry, the cleaning, the cooking etc, take lots of 'cool' drugs at the weekend, and always have the latest accessories.

a guy who is very aware of his looks and spends loads of cash on clothes, moisturiser etc etc etc.tend to look like very well groomed gay guys but are hetro.its just a media spun new word to help sell newspapers and magazines really
