Usually a let down. The only live album I like is Live at Folsom by Johnny Cash. If I want to hear a band live, I will go to their concert.

Most of the time I don't like it because as someone mentioned it sounds better coming from a studio. A lot of bands have to have that enhancenment. Bryan Adams does a great live album.

My favorite bands make their name as live acts so haven't been let down yet. Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, John Mayer.

I really don't like live albums. Sometimes I can't hear the song over the cheering. They're horrible.

I do like live albums but not if they talk a lot. For instance years ago, I confess that I like the Judd's. When their live album came out, they did a lot of narrating and stuff like that - I don't like that. I just want to hear the music.

I like them. Alot of times they offer different takes on their songs that you've heard a billion times. Plus, there are mininmal studio effects on live albums. It usually has a nice raw sound to it.

To me it is a let down--It just does not sound the same with tons of screaming people in the background

No, I HATE live music. They tend to go on and on and on. I like the perfection of studio-adjusted music.
