Find a magazine that is appropriate for your story and start submitting. You can check the 2007 Writer's Market for publications. Most have websites with guidelines or you can write to them for submission guidelines. Good luck.

there are usually addresses you can send them to inside the mag, or i know some mags sometimes run competitions for short stories, you could try that
