I think this an amateur approach.
You need to go for the control-boxes, which are much easier to eliminate; being at ground-level.
In fact, with an armoured "Hummer", you could do drive-by ram-raids, and take them all out undetected, if you stick to the speed-limits as you approach.
Save the explosives for Parliament!

Blowing them up is a bit extreme - black paint might be easier or the Highland solution involved slinging a tyre over the camera and dousing it in petrol and then burning it.
You could of course just drive at a reasonable speed - mind you SPECS cameras have a flaw that if you pass the second camera in a different lane they don't work anyway. I haven't tested that and don't recommend you do but ... it was in Auto Express and I had heard it before from another source.
Good Luck but bear in mind there is a hefty prison sentence for blowing them up! You could just sign the petition against road tolling and vote Conservative.
Gordon Brown doesn't have a driving licence and just looks at the motorist as a source of money - the only realistic way of addressing the problem is to make sure they get removed from power.

i`m in the north and i think any one trying to get out of this place would be more than happy to swop a few speed cameras for our train barriers which are on the main line so that means countless times a day they might go down and every one has to wait until up to 4 trains have passed before they go up again that in real time can be up to 25 minutes then if your not too many miles back in the hold up you might get past them before they go down again and thats no exaggeration

The Tuf-Tuf club in the Netherlands could probably help. They have lots of interesting ways of getting rid of Gordon Brown's cash machines. Some people say that they are there to make you go slower. If this is the case how about installing one of those signs that flash your speed at you and say "Slow"? Same result, but Gordon doesn't get rich.

I would say set a reachable target to start off with, does one the power of good for the next time. Make sure you place the said device just under the box, Not on the pole. if you give yourselves, say an hour for each one. Do not get caught with any evidence, for I fear a long sentence will follow. May I wish you all success in your destruction.

Well, I don't know what the laws in good ole merry England are, but if you get caught with explosives here in America, your azz is going to be locked up for a long time. Good luck with that endeavor.

there was a spate down south of people hanging a car tyre over the top of them, pouring petrol in and setting light to it.
Somewhere else down south, the police have set up a video camera watching one that keeps getting destroyed !!
To the Above - 90% of speed cameras are positioned miles from where any child should be, so they are not detering anything!!
If there were just cameras outside schools etc.. then no one would complain, but they are place on remote 'A' road miles from people's homes, junctions etc..

You must be the police ha ha ha ha ha ha ha !! You blow me. I deduce that there is a spot of bother with the cameras up north. But I really cant help much because north of Watford to me is another country. Try Yorkshire, Get me?

There's quite a few in Wigan, so you can get started there!
Try the suburban roads because they're packed with speed cameras.
