"Eighth Wonder of the World" is a term sometimes used to describe things in comparison to the Seven Wonders of the World, the widely-known list of seven remarkable constructions of classical antiquity.
So, technically, there aren't 8 wonders of the world...but hopefully this is helpful for you.

There are 7 wonders of the world, but, they come in "categories".
There are the 7 wonders of the ancient world, or the 7 wonders of the world (for the Middle Ages), or the 7 wonders of the natural world, or the 7 wonders of the modern world, or the 7 wonders of the world for tourist travellers, or the 7 wonders of the world underwater...and now there's an even newer list for the 7 wonders of the world.

The 7 Wonders of the Ancient World are:The Great Pyramid of Giza, in Egypt; The Hanging Gardens of Babylon; The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus; The Statue of Zeus at Olympia; Mausoleum of Maussollos at Halicarnassus; Colossus or Rhodes; and the Lighthouse of Alexandria.

The 7 Wonders of the Modern World are: The Channel Tunnel, in England; the CN Tower, inToronto, Ontario, Canada; the Empire State Building, in New York; the Golden Gate Bridge, in San Fransico, USA; Itaipu Dam, in Parana River, South America; Delta Works, in Netherlands, Europe; and the Panama Canal, in Central America.

The 7 Wonders of the World for Tourist Travellers are: the Great Pyramids of Giza; the Great Wall of China; the Taj Mahal; Serengeti Migration; Galapagos; the Grand Canyon; and Machu Picchu.

The 7 Wonders of the World Underwater are: Palau; Belize Barrier Reef; Great Barrier Reef; Deep-Sea Vents; Galapagos islands; Lake Baikal; and the Northern Red Sea.

The 7 New Wonders of the World are: the Potala Palace, in Tibet; the Old City of Jerusalem, in Israel; the Polar ice caps; Northwester Hawaiian Islands National Monument; the Internet; Mayan Ruins; Great Migration of the Serengeti and Masai Mara;
( in this list there is an 8th wonder included: the Grand Canyon).
