AMEN to that! I agree 100%. It's lazy people who know how to "work the system" A few years ago, we made some bad choices with our money that left us near broke. We did not ask people for money, nor did we ask our state for help. We busted our buts, cut back on luxury items, and sacraficed alot to get back to where we are today. If we want something, we save. No charge cards at all. While we are not wealthy, we do ok, and are proud that we own all that we have, no help from anyone. The government really needs to re-evaluate how the "system" is run, and get the young able to work off their a**es.

I hope that you never have a time in your life where you've hit rock bottom and have no money, no where to live, etc.

It can happen to anyone and to the best of people. Certain circumstances are beyond some peoples control and before you know it, you've lost your home and everything you own.

My ex obtained a serious injury. Unable to work, ever. Work comp is fighting the case and has been for years. He cannot get unemployment because he is unable to work and trying to get S.S. benefits is like pulling teeth. He lost everything and has no where to live. The state would only help so much.

Stop being so snooty. There's nothing wrong with asking for help if it is legit and you have a family to support and no where else to turn. There is also nothing wrong with asking where to find help.

I don't need you to enable me. I am perfectly able of going to work. I would LOVE to go to work. How about you go to California and tell the man who bought out the company I was working for an dismantled it for his own gain to rebuild it and hire ALL of the struggling families that he laid off back. I was making decent money and had a real chance for progress, when some guy who said he wanted to make our company stronger convinced the board to allow him to invest..then he took control by buying out other investors, and then dismantled the company, closing 13 stores and laying off some 75+ people. Not a big corporation no. But he did it so HE could make more money while those he put out of work starved. He is now driving around in his luxury SUV and I have NO vehicle a husband who busts his butt to make ends meet, three children one with learning disabilities that are no longer covered by insurance, barely enough food in the freezer to feed them when they are hungry, and no way of returning to work because to make what I was making, I would have to return to school, which I can't afford cause I have a family to feed. GROW UP and get a real life...Go out and work a few soup kitchens, and maybe the local food bank and see what happens when the world changes without you, because you lack the means to change with it. This is what happens while our tax deductible donations go to other countries and not to the families that are starving right here. Not all folk that are poor are looking for handouts. In fact, MOST AREN'T! I personally would appreciate a hand up, and would be glad to "pay it forward" once I am on my feet again. Here is the real question. How about you help me find a job that will allow me to be at home for my child with learning disabilities and still earn a REAL paycheck! Can you do that? Survey sites, and marketing campaigns are not for the poor. THey are for the fools that are taken in by their scams. I need a real job with a real company that will cut me a real check every pay period. That is the only way that my husband and I can do it. Life happens while you evidentally are sleeping, and learning nothing of what is really going on the world.

Some may not have qualifications for work and others may not receive benefits from the government. In Britain a person cannot receive benefits from the government unless they have a place of residence, the same goes for a lot of jobs. No home, no job, must beg....see?

I have just returned from holiday, and had my eyes opened to "professional beggars". I watched them being dropped off in the morning, from out of their bmw's and merc's. Then remove the leather jacket, splash mud onto their faces and spend all day on the streets. In the evening, the cars would return to pick them up again. A lot of them are fraudsters. They think it is an easy way of getting a few quid.

in some societies begging IS a job.
Try some consideration for others. Get a job in a homeless shelter.the pay is low or totally absent but you will learn why some people beg.

Why do you ask questions, don't you have work to do?

I don't understand why you ask questions to people who obviously aren't here. I'd sell my computer and disconnect Internet before I resorted to begging.

Have you ever seen anyone begging while holding a laptop?

Aren't you special!! It just so happens that many people do not have the skills to find a decent job. Others are sick and really cannot work, while others do not have the resources (decent clothes, transportation, etc.) Many skilled jobs are going overseas and other pay so little that they are not worth the effort. You should thank God that you are able to work and remember that Christian charity that you are supposed to embody.

They beg for money because it is easier than doing a hard days graft like the rest of us.
