I was looking through some of the Bonus Material from Fellowship of the Ring the other day, and in the piece about the Cast peter jackeson mentioned that he had originally casted someone else for the part of aragorn, but realized a few weeks into shooting that the actor looked too young, so viggo mortensen had to be brought on in some hurry.

does anyone know that actors name?

Stuart Townsend was originally cast as Aragorn, but was replaced by Viggo Mortensen after four days of shooting because Peter Jackson realized that an older actor was needed

because the finished particular effects have a tendency to overshadow the performances. fantasy, horror and Sci-Fi type video clips, although immensely difficulty-free, have a tendency to be neglected in maximum fields except technical fields (sound, particular effects and so on...). merely being nominated is really an accomplishment and triumphing is really more advantageous than has ever been finished contained in the previous. apart from Braveheart or Gladiator, which they might have excused because they were historic, the academy really has a tendency to bypass for the heartstrings earlier the sword play and ray-guns, human drama earlier spooks and demons.
