because the amount of gravity changes as Shawn in this formula:
amount of gravity= ( k * M1 * M2) / distance^2
which , K= constant value
M1= earth mass
M2 = your mass
distance = the distance between the center of earth to your body.

Two bodies (you and the earth) attract each other due to gravity in accordance with the inverse square law. You will weigh less above the earth's surface. This may not hold at the top of a mountain because there is more earth between you and the center of the earth. To make calculations, you must consider your mass and the mass of the earth to be concentrated at their respective centers (centers of gravity). Astronauts are weightless at great distances above the earth because they are in an orbital path and are constantly falling toward earth in their circular path.

if we go higher above the earth the mass of the body does not change but the value of acceleration due to gravity decreases due to increase in the distance between us and the earth. As weight is the product of mass and acceleration due to gravity, therefore the weight of body decreases.

Your weight will decrease the further you move away from the Earth, until eventually you will be weightless. The decrease follows the inverse-square law, so if you double your distance from the Earth, your weight will decrease by a factor of 4.

m be the mass.
W be the weight.
g be the accl due to gravity.
We have W = m * g
m remains thye same.But as we go higher ,value of g goes on decreasing.As g decreases.,W too decreases.
So weight decreases but mass remains the same.
So despite of the same mass,u will be less attracted to the earth,will experience a lesser force.

its easy. gravity takes care of that. actually you cant escape the earths atmosphere unless your going 10,000 miles an hour which is not possible.

weight is directly proportional to gravity...
hence less pull of gravity less weight..
