need holiday advice for theme parks?

went to orlando last year and loved the malls, the parks (did them all!), the weather and the prices. can anyone recommend anywhere else in the states similar? I especially love haunted attractions. I want to go around june time again. had been thinking maybe california but wouldnt know exactly where to go

Southern CA has all the theme parks. In Orange County there is Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm. In LA there is Universal Studios and Six Flags. And in San Diego there is SeaWorld and Legoland. So there are plenty to choose from all within about 2-2.5 hours of each other. In addition to theme parks LA and San Diego have tons of other things to do.

If you go in June I would try to go in late June or if you can July. Mid May to Mid June is actually the worst time of year in SoCal weather wise. We call it "May Gray and June Gloom" down here b/c it's very overcast that time of year. It's just the weather pattern that occurs around that time of year, it's sunny the rest of the year except for those few weeks in late spring. It won't be cold or windy, but it will just be overcast near the coast. It's still in the 70's but not that sunny. Inland it is sunnier and most of the theme parks are inland somewhat. But last year there was very little May Gray and and almost no June Gloom and this year could be the same, but you never know. Plus the water is warmer towards the end of June so you could check out the beaches.

they say California is the place to go if you like roller coasters, i have looked at some on the net, me and a friend had made plans to go to every theme park that we could each summer, so far the only ones we have been to is Kentucky Kingdom, which was a great theme park and then Paramounts kings island....it sucked in my opinion and that may be because we drove like 12 hours to get their and there was so may people that we ended up standing in lines more than riding rides, then drove 12 hours back. also went to Universal in Orlando, it was a blast. thats the only ones we've hit up so far, you can search theme parks on yahoo or google and get a good idea of what you may be looking to do. some sites even rate the park...good luck and hope you have fun
