From what you describe in your question he sounds dangerous, and almost like he has kidnapped you. I realize that is probably not the case, but anyway I look at it, this is not a healthy relationship.

People who are engaged to be married include their future spouse in family events and introduce them to their friends. Honestly, it sounds like he is willing to live with you as long as you pay your share of the rent and provide him easy sex while he goes out looking for women suitable to marry.

As for the the whole work thing and uniform, he sounds creepy, a liar, and someone who I wouldn't trust, let alone marry and spend the rest of my life with. Get away from him!

You say you can't even speak to him about it because he'll probably lie very well...

Don't marry him!

A partner is someone you should be able to rely on. Imagine a lifetime of trying to make things work with a man who is very sneaky, a lyer, and who it's pointless to discuss things with because you can't trust what comes out of his mouth.

Can you think of one acceptable reason for his hiding you when you're about to become family?

Do not marry someone you can't trust... hate to say this... but he may be married/seeing someone already... confront him and demand that he come clean.
