If you mean special as in special needs kids it means a great deal to me. we are foster parents and most of the kids we get have special needs. By getting extra help in school these kids now have a chance to grow up educated instead of being labeled. I feel special education will help the kids of the future to understand and learn more . Not too mention it also helps us as parents understand the child and learn better ways to help the child learn so they can be just as productive in the work force as the next person.
I am a 39 year mother of 5 with 2 special needs children. I am a foster parent.
