It goes by socket/slot type for processor, you have a PGA2 slot, so I dout a pentium 4 will work, look up pga 478b in wikipedia and it will tell you supported processors.. Its cache not cashe by the way ..

You already found the answer, reread these lines

CPU Support
Socket mPGA 478B

-Supports Intel P4 FC-PGA2 (Flip-Chip Pin Grid Array), 1400 MHz to 2800 MHz.

The CPU must fit a PGA478B socket,
and the clock speed must fall between 1400 MHz(1.4GHz) and 2800 MHz(2.8GHz)

With a CPU socket 478B it should be OK. Try a Pentium P4-2.53GHz 512KB FCPGA2 PGA478 533MHz Processor
Manufacturer Part Number: BX80532PE2533D. I don't think you'll get more out of it with 2.8GHz.

That is an older board. Good luck finding a processor that will fit it. It has to have a PGA2 connector, and be between 1400 and 2800mhz.

Take the specs to an good computer shop and they will undetand them. Whether they will have one in stock is another issue....and price wise you may find it cheaper to replace the PC then to replace the processor...

Good luck
